Top 8 Selling Real Estate Brokers - Western Suburbs of Cleveland Ohio
"Who is the biggest broker in Ohio?" "Who sells the most homes in the Cleveland area?" I get these questions all the time. So which real estate company is the largest? Is it Realty One Real Living, Keller Williams Cleveland or Howard Hanna? Where do the brokers rank? Most people are surprised by my answer because some of the larger, national companies aren't even on the list! You'll notice that there isn't one mention of RE/MAX or Century 21 in the top eight companies, yet you may see these commercials on television often. They both sell less than 1% in the Cleveland area, and the commercials are national, not local. I couldn't do a top ten list because the bottom two companies don't even carry a half of a percent. I probably should have just stuck with the top five, but I wanted to give you more companies to look at and compare.

Update! Realty One Real Living and Howard Hanna are now merged. This means their market share is now combined. Together they will create the largest real estate company in Ohio.

This time last year, I put up the stats for the top real estate companies in the Cleveland area and all of Cuyahoga County. Realty One Real Living was the dominant leader followed by Howard Hanna. Since it's been a year, I'm going to be pulling the statistics again and giving you the real numbers. These statistics are for the West Side of Cuyahoga County including all of the western suburbs.

Note that the leading brokers in sales are also the leading brokers in listings and that trend is equal all the way down the list. In other words, there isn't a real estate company presence leading the list or sale side and not the other. Their percentages are pretty much equal on both sides. These are year to date stats for 2008. On with the top selling real estate brokers in the western suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio.

  1. Realty One Real Living with total sales of 3,085. Realty One has 18% of the market share. 22% of the market dollars in real estate sales. Realty One is also number one on the listing side carrying 19% of the market's listings with the highest listing dollar amount average being $220,200. No other real estate company beats any of the sales or listing statistics of Realty One Real Living.

  2. Howard Hanna Real Estate with total sales of 2,615 and holding 15% of the sales market. Howard Hanna also has 16% of the listing market.
