I'm finishing up my plans for a much needed vacation in March. Needless to say I'm excited to take a break and lay on the beach for a while...I've worked very hard over the last few years and I'm rewarding myself by taking an elaborate two week tour...
There will be four of us going. An all girl vacation. We opted not to fly to Florida but to drive in an excursion van. I love road trips and visiting unique places along the way.We'll end up in Ft. Lauderdale, go to a concert, visit some friends and prepare to head out on the most fabulous ships in the world.
Deluxe suite with floor to ceiling windows, private balcony and all amenities is where we'll be waking up and sleeping. I'm actually looking forward to having coffee on the veranda and watching the sunrise on the water.I've always had a fascination with ocean life and I've never been on a cruise before or so far out opening up the possibilities for spotting *things*
We're making our full day stops in the Bahamas, Mexico, Grand Cayman and Turks and Caicos.We'll snorkel, air boat, explore, hike, lay on the beach a lot hopefully, and drink many good things with weird straws...
I'm contemplating bringing the laptop even though I'll have someone taking over for me, but I'm a workaholic. I'll have my phone which gives me access to everything, sadly.
I'm also not prepared to be on the beach so early in the season! Already working on the toning and weight loss which is ANOTHER thing that is hard to do when a lot of my job is on the computer. Sitting doesn't exactly burn calories. I'll need my buddy Saphrym's help on this one...
I decided to blog about this due to the fabulous photos I found looking through the itinerary and so I can send it to a few friends. I'll bring back real photos for my other sites...
It's funny how looking forward to things makes you enjoy working before they happen. I know I have to put a lot of effort into planning for my business before I go but it's not a drab job at all. Rewards are meant to keep the mundane chores of life exciting. Everyone needs a break to refresh, renew and reflect. Now that I'm a little older I'm seeing this finally. All work and no play isn't healthy... I know a lot of people who do just that.

sounds like a great vacation. And probably a welcome relief from the Ohio winter.
@Music - I haven't been there yet either... =) What beach?
@Laice - You're very welcome and thank you...
@Sunny - My luck it will be 80 degrees in Cleveland when I go. That's how it works. I wish I could go today, it's freezing here...
