Continental Airlines Employee Relocation - Cleveland Ohio

Recently some big news has hit Cleveland and Continental Airlines regarding the new $50 million expansion of the Midwest hub at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport which will ultimately lead to more Cleveland relocation.

There are many benefits to the Cleveland area including new jobs, more flights in and out of Cleveland and an economic boost to Ohio on many levels. Continental will now host international flights nonstop including Paris as opposed to the daily flight to London. 30 additional options will be given to passengers including flights to Arkansas and Memphis Tennessee.

It's reported that there will be more than 700 new jobs including all flight staff and on ground employees who will average wages of $24.76 an hour. The new Continental announcement will boost an already stable presence here in Ohio as Continental is the Cleveland's largest carrier employing already over 2,000 people.

The state of Ohio is offering tax credits and incentives to Continental for the upgrade and expansion. Larger security checkpoints and new, larger ticket counters.

Many will relocate to the Cleveland Ohio area from Houston, Guam and Newark New Jersey. With Cleveland real estate being so desirable in price and with the cost of living being lower in Cleveland than other cities across the country, relocation will not only bring job growth but real estate growth as well.
